Temperature Rising....Mommy Dearest

Ok, we have a lot going on and the temperature has been on the rise since Notre Dame, a medieval Catholic cathedral on the Île de la Cité in Paris (48.8530° N, 2.3499° E), burned on April 15, 2019.

I have said since that day that something was released, some kind of pandora's box was opened. The dark hard uglies of the world were going to be brought to light. It has further developed that this came true through things we as humans have not endured in a century. Ya know, a worldwide pandemic, a war that involves Russia as the big bad enemy, the stars, planets, and moon aligning for collective change and taking hard looks at core value and belief systems, just as when America was formed. We can always look to history for patterns. If you journal, you know what I mean by looking for patterns. We can use patterns to discern truth you may not see right before your eyes. For our eyes are blind to all the heart does not want to hear or all that does not align with our ego/brain beliefs.

Statue, Pieta by Nicolas Coustou after the fire. Some portrayed this as proof of God. It is certainly moving and very hope-filled in a time of trauma and pain. Yet, science dictates that gold does not melt until it reaches its melting point which is 1,948°F. The fire simply did not get that hot. Nonetheless, it is an image that does instill hope and dreams of what can be and what will be rebuilt. The fire did devastate the grande dame of French Gothic architecture, but Parisians have vowed to have her rebuilt by the time they are hosting the Olympics in 2024.

Today is the New Moon in Cancer.

This is big MOTHER energy weaving itself into the collective chaos, confusion, shadow work, anger, and fear that has been thrust upon us the past few years. At this point, we are all survivors and have been in survival mode. Congratulations, you made it to the breaking point! We have survived the past few years and we are now ready to face the mirror of truth and move ahead with new visions and new plans.

BUT this big MOTHER energy tells us that in order for us to do wonders outside, we must first do wonders inside. Our cup can not overflow from an empty vessel. Now is the time to nuture. Nuture yourself, those around you, and the ones you love.

The only real change agent in this entire world is love. So love yourself and everyone you come in contact with, even those who do not believe or agree with the things you do, those perceived as enemies, especially send love to those ones. As my Nana Davis used to say, "Be like Jesus and love them all."

The New Moon in the watery sign of Cancer is at 10.52 PM (EDT) when the Sun and Moon meet in 7 degrees of Cancer. We are asked to go within and start a healing and nourishing process. Cancer is the sign of home, emotions, nurturing, mother, intuition, and sensitivity.

Cancer is the Mother, Earth, divine feminine, the sensitivity and intuition that we all carry within, that we need to start using to heal ourselves, others, and the world.

Cancer reminds us to connect back to the cosmic Womb of all of the creation, the wombs that have birthed us, the wombs of our lineage, and to create a safe space for our emotions to flow.

Neptune, the ruler of Pisces, stations today which amplifies the intuitive and spiritual awareness and attunement. This is the pathway to higher consciousness and to connect back to our spiritual roots. Jupiter is also giving us more expansive emotions at the moment. Sit and observe them.

Cancer is the sign of the home and family, creating a nurturing space that soothes our souls and hearts. Take the time to be in ritual around this potent time and connect back to your inner home and Mother.

Notre Dame's Mother

Taking this all back to the fire of Notre Dame, Notre Dame is the cathedral dedicated to Mother Mary. It has rose windows....rose symbolism. Paris was founded in the 3rd century B.C. on the île de la Cité (location of Notre Dame) by a community of Celtic settlers, a group of tribal fishermen called the Parisii, for whom Paris is named. Their practice included the worship of Mother Isis. It is often signified, in the oldest chronicles of the capital, that ISIS, mistress of the esoteric doctrine and of all the arts of magic, was venerated in Paris either first on the island of the City itself, on the site of Notre Dame, or on the site where the Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés was subsequently built.

Funny how this Mother energy is looming large right now, isn't it? Did someone mention Pandora's box?

Whoops, surprise!!!

We hit the MOTHER LOAD!!

We found the divine feminine rising!!!

From the ashes, still, I rise...

So, have you ever heard of the divine feminine? aka the sacred feminine, have you felt it rising inside you? You don't have to be female to feel it, it is a piece of each and every one of our souls.

The divine feminine is energy also known as shakti, yin, and lunar energy, and is often connected symbolically to the moon, Gaia (Mother Earth), and water. While spiritualists all have their own interpretations, the divine feminine typically symbolizes intuition, receptivity, compassion, abundance, nurturing, connection, love, and sensuality.

The divine feminine is the spiritual concept that there exists a feminine counterpart to the patriarchal and masculine worship structures that have long dominated organized religions. The divine feminine extends well beyond one belief system and instead can be used as a spiritual lens to balance our perspective.

What are the qualities of divine feminine energy?

  • Intuitive

  • Heart-centered

  • Forgiving

  • Compassionate

  • Healing

  • Empathetic

  • Nurturing

  • Creative

  • Nature lover

  • Collaborator

  • Lover

  • Sensuality

  • Kind

  • Gentle

  • Communicative

Remember, this is the time to nurture yourself and everyone you know in love. Love knows the dark and the light. Love makes the world go round and is the best agent for change.

With much love to all. God bless.

Please be kind.

Hope and light lives within us all.

xoxo
