I woke up today around 3:13 am. Wide awake. Wide, wide awake. So up I am. This sometimes happens to me, usually around this time at night, so I did not think much of it…..until I realized it is the full “Snow Moon” reaching it’s fullest potential (i.e. energy) at 3:17am. (Today, like right now, almost to the exact time of when I woke up. Ok moon, we are up, what am I doing? The answer is always write. So here I am in my daughter’s bedroom because I woke her up opening the front door going to look at the moon....which you couldn’t see anyway since the cloud cover. Sigh. Mom life. 🤦🏻♀️)
🌕 This is moon is the closest point in its orbit to Earth all year, making it the largest and brightest. (Big Impact! Lots of extra planetary energy is floating around.💥) My body and spirit are affected by the moon and tides. I have known this to be true my whole life. I suffer migraines and the barometer and/or seasonal change can predict when I will get a bad headache. It is my body naturally reacting to it’s environment. (And hence why I am up in the middle of the night writing.) Your body does the same thing.
The full Snow Moon was dubbed this by our ancestors as this month has the most snowfall but also to reference the planning, resilency and grit it took to get through the harsh reality of winter before all of our now common luxuries. (Heating systems and stoves, I am looking at you 👀…and I thank you for your service.)
Part of the Snow Moon is tapping into your ancestors power and wisdom. 💥 Their blood and genetics run through your veins and every cell of your being. Though we do not need to prepare for winter in the ways they did, we still need to deal with our own version of strife. So whatever strife life has recently thrown at you, know that you are able enough to survive, just as they did. 💥
✅ Interestingly enough, this Snow Moon takes place in organized, meticulous, and task-oriented Virgo. This earth sign is all about a down-to-earth course of action, tapping into your ability to plan ahead, check off the to do list, and take stock in where you are at in life. (Fancy that, it does spin right back to our ancestors skill set. HMMM. Oh Universe, you tricky thing.)
♍️ Virgo is also the zodiac sign that is connected to your mental and physical well-being. Known for it’s association with the sixth house of work and health, Virgo is innately connected to your body, your self-care regimens, and your productivity. (Hmmm....really.)
🧹 The Snow Moon lunar cycle may be the calling to clean up physical problems that have piled up within the body and home. It could be time to focus on a health issue you have been avoiding. It could be that you strayed from a diet and exercise plan, and now you must find your way back. It could even be that your place has become a physical mess. Sort through those dirty heaps and get de-cluttering. You can feel so much better if you do the work.
🌷Believe it or not this moon also represents the coming of spring. It’s the time when the seeds start stirring to life under the cold ground. The farmers start planning crops for their gardens. The animals will start to feel their young in their bellies as they are readying for their spring births. The long sleepy winter is finally ending and the earth is in its early awakening to the longer days in the warmth of the sun.
🤔 Your work on this full moon should focus on releasing the old (clutter, patterns, habits, bodily dis-ease and more), focus on new beginnings of your dreams and goals for this year. Use this night of purification. Work to realize where your past mistakes may have been, forgive and love yourself, and plan for your future.
This month’s full Snow Moon will energize your desire to declare your power, clear out the clutter (mental, body and home) and claim your chance to start over.
Rituals that You May Want to Try
Crystal Work Healing
Gillian Kemp writes in her book The Good Spell Book: Love Charms, Magical Cures, And Other Practical Sorcery that the Romany gypsies often used clear quartz crystal balls for clairvoyance practices. Clear quartz is used in a myriad of different spells and rituals as it intensifies all energies and intentions. Kemp writes that one should first wash a piece of clear quartz with soap and water (salt water works, too) to begin a healing ritual.
Then, hold the quartz in both hands and, with eyes closed, imagine being bathed in white light (perhaps moonlight?). Point the crystal to a part of your body that needs healing, or point it to many areas, symbolizing overall wellness. Imagine pure, confidence-enhancing light is traveling from the crystal into your body. Sleep with the quartz under your pillow until the next time you partake in this ritual.
(You can also do this with selenite – do not wash or wet it, ever. Just use it to connect to those healing Angels. 👼🏽)

Do a Full Moon Tea Ritual ☕️🫖 👼🏽
February is a month to do introspective work. This little tea ritual can really help you relax and feel comforted.
· Recommend to use Jasmine Tea or Green Tea.
· Set up a little area in your home where you will sit and relax with your cup of tea. It works best if you can see the Moon. If it’s snowing or raining know that the Moon is still present with you.
· You can make an entire pot of tea or just a cup. You choose. Once you have poured hot water into your teapot or cup. Visualize all of your cares vanishing as the tea brews.
· Feel yourself surrounded by all of your angels. Embrace the love energy that they’re sending you and send that same energy into your tea. 👼🏽
· Slowly sip your tea and feel the love energy of all that is divine flowing throughout your body. Know that your dreams on the Full Moon will be filled with visions to inspire you going forth.
Abundance from the Universe
This is one of my favorite things to have learned. One of my beloved teachers writes herself a check every full moon with the pay to the order of to herself, the dollars are - Whatever you should need - and it is from The Universe. Very similar ideas below from Sarah Prout.

MOON FACTS AND FOLKLORE
· On February 6, 1971, Alan Shepard became the first man to hit a golf ball on the Moon.
· Did you know that the Moon’s diameter is 2,160 miles? This is less than the width of the United States (approximately 3,000 miles), and 0.27 of Earth’s diameter (7,926 miles).
· Wolves have howled at the Moon for centuries, yet it is still there.
· And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand, they danced by the light of the Moon. —Edward Lear, English poet (1812-88)
Please be kind.
Hope and light lives within us all.
